Pazookie :)

I thought it only appropriate to include Jessica Eagles in my first post as she is currently the only subscriber to my husband's blog :) So, naturally, the title of this post is Pazookie, the amazing dessert that Jess introduced us to a few years ago and we have since shared with many, many friends and family.

Some of you may we wondering...what is pazookie? I'm glad you asked. Pazookie is: chocolate chip cookie dough, in a pie pan, half-baked, topped with vanilla bean ice cream as soon as it comes out of the oven and enjoyed as a community dessert. Oh, and it's AMAZING!!!

We always use the same cookie dough recipe and think it's by far the best:

1/2 c butter (softened)
1/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c white sugar
1 egg
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1/2 t vanilla
1 c flour
1/2 chocolate chips

Mix ingredients in order listed above. Place dough in a greased pie pan. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes or until the edges start to brown and the middle is still a little wobbly when you shift the pan. Top with ~4 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream and dig in! Caution: it's hot!

We usually have one pan serve 4 people, but it could be shared with more...or less :)
